Before running a report make sure that the data supports the running of the report. Use the data fitness charts to determine the completeness (saturation) of your data. Running reports should be an on-going part of the business process. Any report running process starts with persistent data grooming. Running the report is the end of the process, not the beginning.
Most PRISM reports have parameters that will dynamically change the behavior and output of the report. This keeps the number of reports down and managerial.

To Run a Report
1Identify the target report
2Click the Report Name link
3Enter the report parameters (popup)
4Select the delivery method
5Click Run Report
Exporting a Report to MS Excel
Some reports are designed to be exported to MS Excel. Typically, these are reports consisting of list of things such as certifications, vendors, contracts, etc. To perform the export to MS Excel, perform the following steps.
Maintaining row and cell integrity:
This methods ensures that no extra columns or rows are added to the data.
1. Select the targeted report and enter the report parameters. Hiding the report header may be required if the header has a logo, etc.
2. Choose screen viewer as the report delivery method
3. Once the report is shown, select the
icon in the upper right-hand corner
4. Select 'MS Excel (97-2003) Data Only' as the export option
5. Click Export
