The keyword search provides ease in performing searches when the standard subject is unknown. It allows a user to provide general search criteria in order to yield results. To search by contract keyword, enter a company name, contact person, service, industry, etc. as it relates to the search you are conducting. Certifications can also be added to your search.

The search criteria is implicit in the search and depends on the module that the keyword search is used.  For example, using the keyword search in Vendor Management will search vendor fields such as: vendor name, vendor services, vendor contracts, vendor contact name, vendor industries, etc.  However, using the keyword search in Contract Management will search fields such as: contract name, vendor name, contract industry prime name, subs name, etc.

The key word search is available in the Vendor, Contract, Labor, and Certification modules.

The keyword search answers question like:

1.Show me all contracts that have anything to do with construction

2.Show me all the contracts the Early Morning Software is on

3.Show me the vendors that are in construction that are MBEs

4.and on and on

Using the Key Word Search,

1.Enter the search criteria (keywords) in the search bar

2.Click search

The search results are shown in the grid (list) below the search bar

Note:  The keyword search relies on sophisticated database indexes that are updated periodically.  So if you recently performed bulk inserts or updates of record (imports), it may take a movement for the search indexes to catch up.  Wait some time before trying again.
