A Policy is a collection of criteria that can be assigned to a contract.  Once assigned to a contract, PRISM will determine:

1.When the evaluation will take place (contract completion milestones, end of contract)

2.Who will perform the evaluation (project managers, engineers, procurement professionals, or compliance professionals)

3.How the evaluation will be scored (letter grade, Pass/Fail, etc.)

Different policies have different criteria.  Some policies may even share criteria.

Lets establish a policy named Professional Services '17.  This policy, consisting of the criteria Schedule & Timeliness and Accuracy & Technical Skills, can be assigned to a contract and the prime of this contract will be evaluated using the five (5) questions associated within the two criteria.  Again, the policy has more information than the criteria such as, who will evaluate the performance, when the performance will be evaluated, and how the score is calculated.

Creating a Policy consists of three steps:

1.Selecting criteria and evaluators

2.Determine when the evaluation will take place

3.Select when evaluators are notified and the grading type

Once completed, this policy is available to be assigned to any contract.
