Custom fields extend the standard PRISM record by allowing you to create additional fields for certain PRISM records.  The custom fields can store information about the record just as the standard PRISM record. 

There are some limitations to custom fields; custom fields are not part of standard reports. Including a custom field in a report will require the development of a custom report report.

Note:  Custom fields created by PRISM professionals as part of your implementation should not be deleted or renamed.  These custom fields are being utilized by custom functionality on your behalf.  Changing these custom fields may produce unpredictable results.

After creating the custom field they may be viewed and used anywhere the PRISM data is being added or modified.

Note: Custom fields may be created ans associated with the jurisdiction. The category is named after the jurisdiction.

Custom Field Types

Custom fields may hold various types of data.  The different data types are:

Sort Order

Custom fields are displayed to the user in a specific order.  The order is determined by the Sort Order.  The sort order starts at 0.

Note: Two custom fields in the same category with the same sort order may not be sorted the same way consistently.  it is best for every custom field to have its own sort order.

Visible

Determines if a custom field is visible by the users.

Available for Vendors

This setting is only available for the Vendor custom fields.  This custom field when affirmed will be visible by vendors when they view vendor records.  Use this setting to create a custom field for vendors to modify during registration or reviewing their records.
