Default Goal Types are assigned to vendors automatically when the industry and/or goal type conditions are met. For example, one could choose to set a goal of 25% whenever CBE goal type is associated with a contract. Moreover, when NAICS industry code 237 and the SBE goal type is applied set the goal to 5%.
By selecting default for the industry, PRISM assumes for any industry. In this case, the Goal Type is examined to determine what goal type should be addressed.
The example below shows:
1Industry code 237 and SBE is defaulted to 5%
2Any CBE is defaulted to 25%
3Any DBE is defaulted to 9.9%
