Sub Plan Tree

The Sub Plan Tree presents a tree representation of the sub contractor utilization plan.  The prime contractor is the root of the tree and each sub is presented as a branch of the root. The first branch represents the tier one subcontractors.  Subsequent branches are represented tier two, three, and so-on level subcontractors.  Clicking the '' symbol open and closes the branches.

The navigation button, located at the bottom of the screen changes depending on the mode of viewing.  Add mode will present the navigation in a wizard format.  The user must visit each tab in order.  In update mode, the user can visit any tab at any time. 

 

Definitions: 

 

Net Commitment - The committed amount from a prime or sub to a particular sub (expressed in percentage and dollars). 

Gross Commitment - The commitment subbed out by the prime or sub.  The Gross Commitment is very helpful when examining n-tier subcontracting.  It shows how much work is remaining with contractors at each tier.  When there are subs to a sub, the Gross Commitment is the same as the Net Commitment, for that subcontractor.  Note in the illustration below that the Prime has subbed 39.65% of the contract to subcontractors.  Therefore the Prime's Gross Commitment is 39.65%.  If any of the subcontractors were to sub out to another sub, their Net Commitment and Gross Commitment will be different percentages.

SMB Involvement - Indicates that the subcontractor's participation on the contract is as a Supplier, Manufacturer, or a Broker.  In most cases, only a percentage of their involvement counts towards goal attainment.

Sub Role Selection

Select the role of the subcontractor.  The roles are PRSIM configured goals.  If no attainment-based role, select the configured default (i.e. 'No Role', Non-Minority, etc.)

 

Commitment Amount or Percentage

The percentage commitment as a percentage and dollar amount.  When entering a sub, only supply one or the other then click "Calc".  When viewing or editing both will show.

 

SMB Involvement

If there is SMB involvement, select Supplier, Manufacturer, or Broken, and enter the percentage of spend that will count towards the attainment.

 

 

 

To Add a Sub to the Sub Plan,

1.From the Sub Plan Tree tab, identify the vendor that the sub will be subbing to

2.Click the "Add Sub" link

3.Search and select the target sub

4.Enter the subcontracting information (commitment amount or percent, SMB Involvement (if any), Start/End dates of performance

5.Click Add Sub

6.Click Save Changes button

 

Note:

1.If you do not add the subcontractor start date and end date the "non-reporting notifications" will not be sent if the sub or the prime fails to report.

2.If the subcontractor has SMB Involvement, the Spend tab will reflect the actual spend and the SMB adjusted attainment-related spend
