Setting a goal is a wizard-driven process. It begins with selecting the goals to be set and concludes with submitting/communicating the goal.
Goal Setting wizard start
To Set a Goal,
1.Initiate the wizard by selecting "View/Set Goal" from the small hamburger menu associated with the targeted procurement
2.Advance past the initial wizard page by clicking "Continue to Goal Types"
3.Select the goals (left) that need to be set
Note: the goals listed come from your PRISM configuration.
4.Click "Continue to Goal Modeling"
Note: PRISM will prepare the initial goal recommendation based on the goals selected and the information from the procurement categories. This is called the initial model

5.From the initial model, review the procurement categories and make any modifications to the Amount field. it is editable. Changing this field will adjust the calculated Weight.
6.Review the industry codes associated with the procurement categories. Adding or removing industries may drastically alter your goal recommendation.
7.Review the availability listing by click the two links associated with availability. The first link are certified vendors with industry codes. The second link is all of the vendors with the industry codes. Want more vendors? Add more industry codes. See the availability listing for more information on segmenting the availability numbers
8.If you have made any changes, create a new model. Click the "Copy To New Model" button. Be sure to enter notes about the changes you have made so anyone comparing the initial model and you newly saved model can see your adjustments. Enter these notes in the field named "Model Note".
9.Click the "Continue to Confirm Goals" button
Goal Submission
10.PRISM presents the goal that was calculated from each modeling session. Select the model that will be recommended. This is called the "Preferred Goal".
11.Click the "Save Preferred" button.
PRISM will send a notification to the goal submitter indicating that a goal has been created for the solicitation. This is typically done by someone that has the security action to create the models but not submit the goal.
12.The Goal Submitter, any user with the security actions that allows them to submit a goal, logs into PRISM
13.Locate the target procurement, select View/Set Goal
14.Advance to the "Goal Modeling" tab of the wizard
15.Review the different models
16.Advance to the "Confirm Goal" tab
17.Click the "Submit Goals" button
PRISM will send an email to the buyer associated with the procurement indicating the goal that has been set for the procurement. for transparency, the goal requested date and the date of goal submission are both recorded.
Overriding the preferred goal
At anytime a user can elect to ignore all of the models and enter a goal to be submitted. This give the organization discretion to adhere to policy or regulations that dictate goals. Perform the following:
12.From step 10, select a preferred goal
13.Enter your desired goal in the box associated with the goal type you are setting
Note: The user can advance through the goal setting sessions by just clicking the "Confirm Goal" tab. This quickly ends any sessions and allows the user to enter and submit a goal.
